How do I log into the cloud and Medisoft and find a patient?

Summary
Think of cloud/Medisoft access as climbing a ladder up to log in and back down to end the session — never skip a step. The Patient List holds all patient, claim, carrier, attorney lien, and case history information.
- 1Double click AccessPad Lite, key in the server password, double click the desktop icon, then double click the MediSoft icon.
- 2Enter your unique user name and password and click OK. You may pin the connection bar and minimize instead of logging out repeatedly during the day.
- 3To log out: Click Exit Program, then Exit Program again, then double click the Sign Off Cloud icon (required to end the session), then Click Close, then Click log out.
- 4If you type the wrong login information 3 times when opening a practice, access will be locked.
- 5To open a practice: Click File > Open Practice, select the clinic, then type your unique login name and password.
- 6The Patient List contains all patient, claim, carrier, attorney lien, and case history information, separated into patient-side and case-side tabs.
- 7Patient side: Name/Address (demographics) and Other Information (provider, billing code, patient indicator, and signature date, which must be included for billing).
- 8Case side: Personal, Account, Diagnosis, Policy 1/2/3, Condition, Comments, Case Notes, Liens, and Contacts tabs. Always save before exiting each account.
- 9In Transaction Entry, enter the patient's chart number under Chart at the upper left, or click the magnifying glass to search by name; press F7 to print a patient ledger.
- 10Quick Ledger shows charges and payments quickly and can print a patient ledger; full account detail is on the Transaction screen.
- 11To run reports, click Launch MediSoft Reports and choose the report; most are in the Custom folder, including Day Sheet with Practice Totals and Collection Reports with Case Notes.
